Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety NZ Limited (WIS NZ) is New Zealand’s largest and leading industrial distribution company.
The company operates through seven independent businesses; NZ Safety, Blackwoods Protector,  Packaging House, Expresspak, PHL Medical, Safety Source and APC Techsafe.

Activities are centred in three key industrial market segments: 

• personal protective equipment, work apparel and related safety products,
• industrial packaging, food service and hygiene products,
• maintenance repair and operating consumables (MRO).

Although WIS NZ was formed in 2001, its individual businesses have histories extending greater than 50 years. The longest of these being Paykels, originally formed in 1905 as J.J. Niven, and Blackwoods NZ, originally formed in 1912 as Morris Black & Matheson.

WIS NZ is owned by Wesfarmers Limited, a major Australian corporate based in Perth, Western Australia. Wesfarmers has interests in supermarkets, department stores, home improvement and office supplies, coal mining, energy, insurance, and industrial safety. The company is listed on the Sydney Stock Exchange and over the last decade has grown considerably, with annual operating revenue of over A$50 billion.
